During his time in the RAF, he has held the chair of Principal Clarinet of the Central Band, and was the RAF’s Principal Saxophonist, as well as lead Alto with the famous RAF Squadronaires.
He has performed for Royalty at Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace and Windsor Castle, as well as 10 Downing Street and many more high profile state occasions.
As a soloist he has performed in the UK’s top venues, which include, The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Bridgwater Hall Manchester and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz club in London.
Over the years he has recorded albums in some of the world’s most prestigious recording studios, the most famous being, Abbey Rd and Air Studios London.
Andrew’s versatility in stylistic performance, brought him to the attention of the renowned composer, Paul Hart who wrote a piece especially for him entitled, Song Of the Truffle Maker which made its world premier at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2013.
